Stay focused.
I have been really busy lately, tracking ads. This ofcourse, is vital, to know how your program and stratergies are going. In the event of building a landing page, one has to test the value or success of what keywords are more successful than others, in terms of conversions before paying for a lengthy ad campaign. I have been blown away by lessons from Michael Cheney, about keywords. He has been in this business for 10 years and has a product called Fortune with 500, which gives so many stratergies for success it’s unbelievable.
That’s my words of the day. I have to remind myself all the time to stay focused on my goal,-be steelly-eyed on what I am trying to achieve with my business. It is especially true for affiliate marketing, when the next super widget is launched with the accompanied hype. It is easy to get distracted from the project you have been building. Can you relate to what I’m talking about?
I think we all are guilty of procrastination and “greener on the other side of the fence” syndrome.
I, for one, when I first started, bought so much stuff, when it first came out, not realizing that some of these products overlapped, or worst, said the same thing, only in a different way. Having said that, it is really important to buy some training information that will build your independance. The best investment in your business is your education. This takes time, however. No matter what the flashy ads say, in order to be in business for the long term, it takes time to build name recognition for your own products and trust with your subscribers. Affiliate marketing is rewarding, and always a PART of your business. Who knows if the company you represent will be there for the long haul, or if you can keep the buyers (leads) of those products you sold for them. The business at this level is not under your control. You need your own list. No.1. You need to build your own products, on your own website.
That is why you need to learn how internet marketing works, how to build a website, and most importantly, how to get traffic to your website, so you can build a list. This list is your customers, or loyal readers that you protect above all, and give value to in order to remain in business.
I am really proud of myself at the moment. I never thought I could “get” this stuff, it always seemed too dry for this artistic type. 
I now have multiple sites, I have built myself, in less than 2 weeks, and can say, I have learned a lot! I don’t profess to being an expert. I am , like you, willing to put in the work to get to our common goal.
